The Flatbush Food Co-op is currently looking for a Manager on Duty to oversee daily store operations, security and customer service.
Purpose: To provide in-store management-level support for staff and customers. To ensure prompt, friendly, courteous customer service, accurate cash handling and customer checkout, store security and smooth store operations during designated shifts.
Responsibilities: include overseeing store operations, accuracy and security of all cash received throughout the front end, store security and store cleanliness. Perform regular walk-through/check-ins to monitor for issues needing attention. Knowledgeable of co-op systems and policies, handle unplanned situations calmly and smoothly. Ensure store is opened and closed following established procedures.
Qualifications: include excellent communication, time management and customer service skills, demonstrated problem solving skills, a strong desire to serve our shoppers and the ability to handle multiple demands.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. A minimum of two years supervisory experience in a retail environment preferred.
